Varlion was born in 1993, in Argentina. In the year of its existence, the brand’s founder, Felix Regalia, decided to start designing his own models of padel rackets when he saw that most of the brands manufactured in two factories and had similar molds and constructions. This initiative led him to create his own factory to differentiate his way of manufacturing from the competition, prioritizing and seeking exclusivity, higher performance and quality.

Due to the difficulties of the Argentine economy and the local padel, we began exporting padel rackets mainly to Spain and Brazil from 1995 to 1999. These were attractive for Spanish brands and international brands of tennis, for whom we design and manufacture high-end models that they integrated in their collection, used their professionals and were the image for these brands. 

In 1999 we decided to move to Spain, creating a new factory and officially launching the brand there, although it was already distributed since 1995. We were the first brand who apply new technologies in the models design, we used new materials and we started a growth that has positioned Varlion as the best product for its innovation, design, quality and performance since 2003. 

Towards 2005, we became the market leader in sales, and we started the design and development of textiles and footwear. In a few years we became the first integral brand of padel. We supply players, monitors and the market with all the necessary products for the practice of the sport with a maximum level of design, quality and performance, in keeping with the major international sports brands. 

In 2007, we inaugurated our existing facilities, sited at the Technological Park of the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid, Spain) in a ship designed by the founder of the brand that has a space of 3.000 m2 distributed between central offices and own factory. 

In 2008 we started a diversification project launching two lines of sportswear inspired by polo and motorsport, and specially in the history of the F-1. This inspiration arises from the founder of the brand due to his close connection to the world of the engine (a family tradition) and the proximity to the polo horse breeding and trainers of polo players. He was born in a city a few km from Coronel Suárez and Trenque Lauquen (Argentina), pioneer cities in the Argentine and international polo. 

The combination of the three sports led us to create a concept of exclusive Varlion Store, with the establishment of 17 stores between own and franchise in Spain. The local and european financial crisis prevented this project from being internationalized and relegated it to the future.

The growth in the Spanish padel market, the most important in the world, made us reach a very important international projection, within the slow but steady growth of the padel world. We were the first brand to market our products through our website in 2010 to reach all the fans and padel players in the world. This made that Varlion be present in all the countries where the sport is played. 

Our strength is clearly due to our products, with an original, innovative and exclusive design, developed and manufactured in the best factories in the world. And, of course, also the 23 years of experience making our own padel rackets, something that professionals, monitors and amateur players recognize widely in the market. 

In 2015 and 2016 the international padel grew a lot in Europe. In those places where it had developed, it is now resurfacing strongly. This situation have led us to partner with the best courts manufacturer in the world to provide the Varlion Padel Courts. Also we start an international expansion with the opening of a subsidiary in Argentina in 2017 and, finally, we are expanding our commercial network to reach all markets in Europe and America.
