LW Carbon 9
Varlion padel racket of professional level with a round shape that privileges control over power.
It’s made of a bidirectional carbon tube. Its core is made of 38mm Eva Hypersoft rubber of medium hardness, and it is laminated by layers of carbon and fiberglass fabric. The heart area is also reinforced with carbon fiber fabrics impregnated with Varlion's exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin to obtain maximum elasticity and resistance and covered by a layer of titanium dioxide.
It’s the successor to the legendary LW Carbon 3, LW Carbon 5 and LW Carbon 8 but with technological improvements in its materials, design and performance. One of the most important is the incorporation of Prisma frame,, which provides greater acceleration and speed of movements thanks to its aerodynamic design.
Thanks to Aerodynamic Drilling, turbulence is reduced, offering greater resistance in the core and greater stability during hitting cause the centre of the racket flexes less. This generates an increase in the sweet spot of the racket.
It includes as standard the adhesive Prisma bumper, which is designed and produced through an injection mold in low-hardness PTU to absorb shocks and scratches. This bumper is fixed on the frame of the racket through an adhesive, which also helps to avoid vibrations.
We have also applied the Slice technology (rough texture) to the hitting surface through a direct 3D screen printing system, to help the player apply effects on the ball more effectively.
And finally, it is worth highlighting the Handlesafety technology, a new safety system for the handle. Normally, in all rackets the rope comes out from a centered hole which is attached to the handle frame by means of a pin, rivets, nails, etc. However, with this system, the rope goes through the two walls of the handle and comes out on both sides of the tip, thus giving 100% safety and comfort to the grip.
Lethal Weapon and Adhesive Bumper are Utility and Industrial brands and models registered with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, and therefore the exclusive property and use of Varlion.
PRISMA FRAME
Revolutionary prism-shaped frame, designed and implemented in the two Maxima Summum Prisma and Bourne Summum Prisma rackets.
After carrying out an aerodynamic study in a wind tunnel, it has been shown that it presents 10% less resistance to wind compared to the Hexagon frame and the conventional frames of the rest of the blades. This change translates into better manageability and a greater speed of movement of the racket, which allows greater acceleration and speed of play.
The design of this frame requires special manufacturing to make it more rigid and resistant, in addition to a specific injected adhesive protector.
Technology patented and registered before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office under Utility model No. 202030114 extensible to other countries.
SLICE TECHNOLOGY
Rough texture for the racket surface. As its name suggests, it is specially designed for backhand or drive shots with slice or cuts.
In its design, a series of curved lines have been arranged for right-handed players, which are duplicated in the opposite direction for left-handed players, so that the lines hook the ball and increase its effect.
When compared to a tennis racket, the hook is even greater, since the strings of the racket are straight and horizontal in the shape of a cross generating a square. But in tue case of Slice technology, lines are designed with a curved shape, since the surface of the ball that is in contact with such lines is much larger.
Technology patented and registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office extensible to other countries.
7 RHOMBUS CARBON FABRIC
12K carbon fiber fabric in a rhomboid shape, to a greater flexibility in the core.
PRISMA BUMPER
New adhesive bumper designed exclusively for Prisma frame models of 20.1 collection. This bumper has been designed and produced through an injection mold in a low hardness PTU to absorb shocks and chafing.
It is fixed on the racket frame by means of an adhesive material without the need to drill into the frame and thus avoiding having to weaken it for its fixing. Consequently, possible vibrations of the bumper are eliminated and we achieve a total twinning between the racket frame and the lower surface of the bumper.
Technology patented and registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office extensible to other countries.
AERODINAMIC DRILLING
According to different aerodynamic studies that we have carried out in the fluid software for the study of aerodynamics, it has been shown that the holes in the center of the blades generate turbulence and thanks to Aerodynamic Drilling they are reduced, offering greater resistance to the core and greater homogeneity. in the blows, by flexing the center of the blade less.
This automatically generates an increase in the sweet spot of the racket.
HYPERSOFT
Soft foam core with spectacular measures of hardness and rebound, which gives a very balanced control and power to the racket, to play at low temperatures or up to 25ºC.
